Houses there are like $1.5M?
Buy in the winter. Housing prices usually go down after summer. Also considering how a lot of tech companies are setting up hubs in Toronto the prices aren't likely to go down. If prices in downtown area are outside your range you can look at places like Malton or Vaughan. There's a bit if commute but everyone does it.
1. There's a Tesla office in Toronto? 2. Do the number of listings usually decrease drastically in the winter because people don't want to move out in the cold (esp. Toronto winters)?
I grew up in Toronto. And no the listings don't decrease but the price usually does, not by a lot but 5-10k. My suggestion is rent for a few months. Figure out which geographic area you like and don't mind commuting to work from.
