Too bad there's still a pay gap. I'd love to live in Canada
Be prepared to make like 60k a year
Every article mentions the same guy Rangnekar :)
Why not, no visa issues, less pay, less competition. I’m surprised why FB is not making a big move there like what msft, Amazon or google did.
It’s easy to “add X jobs to an economy”: 1) make newspaper ad: “hiring 1,000,000 software engineers for $1 / year” 2) done
The are flocking out of desperation and not choice, maybe it lets them feel close to America though they cant be in America.
I don't see the big deal. It's great to have tech hubs outside of Cali.
Watch out, Salt Lake City! Toronto is quickly becoming the 8th hottest tech scene.
Lold hard
What is there to lol here. Toronto is a first rate place and far more attractive place for tech/ ai talent
I've met some legit smart people who came from good colleges in India and decided to move to Canada after getting an MS in the US. Toronto/Montreal may not have attained critical mass yet, but its on it's way. Once critical mass is achieved, that market will start dictating it's own terms. TC is a following metric not a leading one -- so it follows the place and time of a trend.
Everyone move to Canada
