What’s the avg cost for 25k service for a 2018 corolla? Doing my service today the cost is 300 ish. 30k is around 1000. Is this normal in the Bay Area? Seems pretty pricy
This is why they're called "stealerships."
I just do a oil change once a year as part of it I do tire rotation and full inspection with brakes.
Takes around of 120 usd.
When you ask dealer for 25k or 30k service you are announcing that you are a novice w open check book For any Toyota or Lexus this is the service procedure Oil change every 5k miles. Labor is $20. Buy your own Mobil 1 ep oil Tire rotations every 5k free at discount tire or Costco Every 30k transmission drain and fill $90 labor Brake pads rotors battery bulbs etc are as needed. If no timing chain, then timing belt water pump and spark plug change is approx 900 labor at 90k miles All prices are from Toyota dealerships. Am talking from half a million miles of Toyota experience. It’s a stealership because you left your wallet open
Forgot to add...cabin and engine filters. Buy oem parts from eBay and labor should be $0 when you combine with any other service
Don’t go outside the dealership esp jiffy lube etc they will use generic filters that won’t work best for you.
What SunDevil23 said. Toyotas are the most reliable vehicles on the planet. That said, they do require periodic maintenance, not necessarily at the dealership. For a new vehicle, oil change, tire rotation and cabin air filter replacement should suffice. Check your car’s owner’s manual to see the manufacturer recommended service at various times in the lifetime of the car.
Would warranty get void if you work with service centers outside the dealer? Or should one be looking for certified service centers for warranty to apply?
Getting routine maintenance done at other places will not void warranty. Doing things like changing the exhaust or lowering it will
Google for moss magnusson act- you are not reqd to perform repairs w them. That said..I have actually found Toyota dealerships to be cheapest compared to others in the last 20years of ownership. Your maintenance history is also available on Toyota.com once you add your vin to owners site...useful for resale etc
oil changes using synthetic oil on Toyotas is 10k miles not 5k. Minimal service every 5k is a tire rotation and brake inspection. Don’t listen to these “clown” experts who tell you to do it every 3k or 5k. Pay for a used oil analysis and you will see your oil does last the 10k miles as indicated. Save your time and money.
