Does it make sense to sign up for Traditional HMO (like Kaiser in CA) plan if I do a lot of active sport and traveling. I’m struggling to understand all nuances of such insurance plan. Active sports includes: rock climbing, skiing, mountain hiking etc. Though my survival chances are stronger than for an average person I also exposed to a greater risks being “broken” anywhere far from place where I live. It could be just 50 miles from my home place somewhere in the forest or it could be hundreds miles away and in the different states. I live in a 10 minutes walk range from the Kaiser Hospital in SF.
