Train ride time killing suggestions

Hi All, recently started doing one hour long train/walk to work (one way).
I don't want to waste it just watching random YouTube video.
Just wanted to know what other people are doing and what are the good ways to utilize that time?

If you’re not much of a reader, pick something that relates to an interest of yours.
Whether it is sports, cars, finance, celebrities and their autobiographies and I’m not talking the Kardashians lol
If you’re a reader than you prob know what you like

Nothing wrong with reading about the Kardashians if one likes to do it.

Babbel has a much more extensive lesson offering. Figure most blinders can afford babbel monthly subscription.

Duolingo may be better for train though.

I was in a similar situation for a few years. 1 hour + each way. I taught myself new tech skills (ML in my case) - went through lectures for multiple courses on youtube. Taught myself Spanish, mostly using duolingo like another poster suggested, and the News in Slow Spanish (paid but worth it) app. All either driving, on the train, or cycling, so mostly listening.

Of course, there are podcasts that actually teach you something and are quite entertaining - Marketplace, Make Me Smart, etc. etc.

Look into a subscription for the Great Courses, or try a few individual ones first.

Bill Gates actually uses the Great Courses for his own study as well.

Audiobook lectures - philosophy, history etc (teaching company's CDs). Mostly on actual CDs in the library

Neal Stephenson is my favorite, you can start with Cryptonomicon or Reamde, Seveneves is good too, if you’re into SciFi.
