Hi, I live in the Eastside in Bellevue. I would like to start training for Marathon. Any tips on how to get started. Are there groups I can join, or any other recommendations would be super helpful. I’m a beginner with no experience with running. I’m pretty healthy otherwise but want to start some kind of fitness program to improve stamina and strength. I’m not really into going to a fitness club or gym, so thought I will start with running. Thank you!
Halhigdon.com I used this to train for each of my 3 marathons and tons of other races. Lots of good advice for beginners and also he was a successful running coach so knows how to get more out of training as you advance and become a better runner.

Use the Nike run app. Op what's your: 1. 1 mile pace? 2. 2 mile pace? 3. Considered short run for you 3. Considered a normal run for you 4. Considered a long run for you Might want to update this info in question also
Thanks updated the question with more info. I have no prior experience. I thought if I joined a program like Marathon training I might be motivated to continue with it. I usually don’t have the motivation to work out by myself, running seemed more fun.
So 1 mile is probably a good start. Try 12 min/mile. Try starting out on a treadmill. It will help with the pace. Use Nike run app and enter long run as 1.5 miles and short run is .5 miles. It will help and create a plan for you.
