Travel after h1b transfer is filed
Is it ok to travel out of country after h1b transfer is filed? Has anyone done this? I have to get stamping on my current h1, if a new h1 transfer request is in process, will that effect my current h1 visa stamping? I plan to do visa through drop box btw..no visa interview..had enough of that. I havent started the transfer process yet, thinking of the options. I do want to go to india before I quit the job as it may take time to accrue PTO in my new job.
Traveling is fine while another h1b transfer is in progress. Have done that in the past. Not sure about the traveling & stamping while transfer is in progress part. But I’d guess it should be okay. Did you ask the lawyers?
Agree with @pirsqure here. Pragmatic suggestion: travel after the transfer is complete and directly get that stamped to avoid confusion.
