This is good rhetoric. This will for sure end in Trump’s demise in 2020, thankfully

I think we can start by not nominating someone who’s some how worse and even more incompetent than Trump.

That’s turning out to be quite a challenge for 2020 though. What a joke.

You're willfully ignorant to think that Hillary is anywhere near the competency of Trump. She is very capable and yes, I'm sure her ambitions revolve almost purely around how her name is remembered in the history books.

That, though, is why she would be great. A competent, ruthless statesman whose only purpose to be to named amongst the greatest of leaders is the person you want at the top. We're going to get a psychopath either way, at least make it a smart one with sound goals.

Are you implying that also isn’t Trump’s goal? The dude wakes up every morning ant fires off a few tweets reminding the world how great he is.

The fact that he managed to beat Clinton is a testament to how bad she is.

Seriously. A rock would have won the election against Trump.

    • Intel D’s🥜
^Yeah, because rocks don’t have previous political scandal.

There’s an argument to be made that Trump’s campaign was more solid because of inherently more privacy in civilian matters rather than a life of public office.

Bingo. Nearly 3 million more votes for Hillary. Trump had 46.5% of the vote, Hillary had 48.6%. But Trump wins.

The USA is intentionally NOT at democracy. Everybody plays the same game with the same rules. Hillary doesn’t know how to win...

Without democracy, no matter which candidate wins, regular Americans loose.

So we should eliminate the Senate as well then? Bc its not democratic either. America is a republic, not a democracy... Americans have been doing just fine with this system.
      Jun 4

      Ultimately that would be better.

Americans have been battling for democracy since colonial times. Americans have been doing fine by pushing back on the limits in our government and extending the vote to non-property holders, freed slaves, women, etc.

Representation isn’t identical to democracy. Not sure about your description of American history bc it’s quite contradictory to the compromises made to form the union.
      Jun 4
    • Credit Karma EllisDee25
The “union” was founded in response to farmer revolts and that’s the reason a bill of rights was included. But the government wasn’t intended to be democratic and in fact acts as a check on democratic sentiment.

But regular Americans have continuously fought for the expansion of the power of democracy. Farmers revolts, slave revolts, populists, abolitionists, suffrage agitators, labor movements, all concretely pushed democratic agendas.

What history are you talking about?

Not a democracy. A constitutional republic.

      In reality an oligarchy.
      Jun 5
    • Let's go with a true democracy.

We can test the Left's "everyone is racist sexist bigot homophobe!" hypothesis.

@Microsoft true, but governors and representatives are still elected by the people

      Indirect representation =/= democracy

Not mentioning the fact that electoral college gives you unequal voting power - depending on where you live.

Everyone likes the system when they win & criticizes it when they lose. Pick better candidates & win, the college isn’t going away soon.

You seem not to get it issk05: everybody — i.e. the people — is losing. When you stop considering politics the same way you do with your stupid sport teams may be you’ll get it.
      Jun 5
    • Pure Storage iSSk05
May be? Ya.. Trust me I get it. I’m thinking about the whole system, not just the president. The beauty of the US system is in the power of the states & the checks/balances. Everyone wants a silver bullet... One change to fix everything... The fundamental problem with the US right now is the failure to compromise in the legislature, not how we elect the president. Its a human problem. The balance is giving everyone a chance to get some things they want. A pure democracy would fail to achieve that in my opinion.
      Jun 5
    • Microsoft gh0stntshl
@issk05 the US system allows corporations and special interest groups, domestic and foreign, to buy politicians. Citizens United vs FEC was the last nail in the coffin of democracy. The president is the tip of the iceberg. The People is not the constituency anymore.
      Do you see this?

    It's the Kremlin.

Rumor has it that they had advanced propaganda and psyops capabilities and used it to trick Hillary into completely neglecting rust belt states during her campaign and not address any of their concerns 😳
