I've had just current position for 9 months. In some ways it's a dream situation but it also kinds drags on me. I work remotely for a small profitable company. I get paid as a contractor because they don't have business operations in my state get paid 100k plus healthcare costs. I live in a medium cost of living small city with little tech. I might be able to find something here that pays 75k but it wouldn't be a tech focused company. The problem I have is that my bosses are super hands off. It's good not to be micromanaged, but I sometimes only hear from them every couple weeks. I've kinda lost motivation, they don't seem to care what happens that much and this I don't and I feel guilty for not working more. I have job hopped and such in the past so I want to try and push through but honestly the whole situation drags me down. It's hard to hear nothing from employer and be wholly self motivated for something which really if it does well offers me no guarantees of making anything off it (not an employee currently, legal stuff in process to make that and equity a possibility but I hear nothing about it seems that not be a priority. Basically the vibe I get is that my bosses are just taking a paycheck from this. They don't work st it they hired me to do thst, which is mostly fine I just haven't been told that and I just sit around not doing much getting paid feeling bad sbout things, and of course I keep gettin them checks.

Did you read my diary? Pretty much in the same except my coworkers and boss don’t do a thing so it really makes me wonder why I bother and I often do less and less because who cares. Does cause a problem thinking about the next job when this ends. I try to do some learning at work even if it isn’t in my work or job. It makes the time go by and keeps my mind from completely rotting away.
Once upon a time I was really productive, when I was hired for this role I pumped out 3 new features in the first month and since then just..................
