looking at all the options from SFO to DEL, Turkish airlines seems to be the most economical. Anyone travelled in Turkish airline? how was your experience? would you recommend it? Tc: $250k
I heard the food is really good
Go for it
They have a connecting flight to Chisinau via Istanbul. The service and food were excellent! I didn’t have any regrets. I took the cheap flight, but if you are expecting first-class then I don’t know.
I like cathay pacific. Air India is most convenient tbh. Hard to beat a 16hr direct journey if you can stomach it. Business class is quite cheap, around 2.5-3k rt
Economy class is good, business class sucks
Their business class is good, especially their food.
It's what i found very lacking. For example their business class didn't have any red meat food option. Only cheap chicken and the cheapest Turkish fish... For the dessert course, i wanted a second piece of their dessert and they didn't have. Food service was really not that good.
Beware the old business class, likely to be used to DEL. Tight and away from windows. Economy in the A330s isn’t very great either but comparable to many others. If economy, Emirates going that way if possible. If business, Lufthansa group or the tier1 Asian carriers. Had trouble with Turkish recently, broken English. Deliberately hung up on three agents as they were useless and hardly spoke any English.
As they say for Business Class seats - you get what you pay. Turkish has the worst business class seats among ME-ish carriers.
They are a good company, I would say better than Delta and United. They also serve some of the best airline food in the world.
