Science team has a lot of problems. If you are fine with mediocre pay/career development and spending your days putting together pointless dashboards for business people maybe you would like it.
Culture is bad, pay is good but only in 3 and 4
Culture is great. Dashboards can be automated. If you think they are pointless, speak and explain why. Twitch values commitment over compliance.
I'm not the one making them just repeating what people in science have complained to me about *shrug*
I've heard the same. Science has lost almost 10 people in the last year according to our DS. Hard to believe this is an isolated issue. Also, when has speaking up been received positively?
Twitch is an absolute dumpster fire. Just read Glassdoor. Comp and snacks are about the only things that make it bearable
There's truth on Glassdoor for sure, but there are still plenty of good things at Twitch, coming from someone who's been at other large bay area tech companies
Twitch is not in a good spot. I’m waiting on my next vest and then bailing. The GlassDoor reviews are spot on. Most people are immature as hell and haven’t worked elsewhere. Ineptitude abounds. Pay is not that great in comparison to other Bay Area companies. You’ll likely come in at level 5, which has a max comp of $245K in the Bay. If Amazon stock rises and puts you above that for the year, you get no rewards at your yearly review regardless of what you might’ve accomplished.

My manager. They’re not supposed to share, but they were transparent with me. Twitch maps to Amazon salary bands now. $165K max base salary in SEA or elsewhere. $185K max base in SFO. L5 can get up to $225K/$245K total comp. Pre-acq are exceptions.
