For my org someone has to be oncall. And ofc regular work hours for those weeks

Only the support teams. No one in dev team would be in office between Dec 25 to Jan 5. People like me, who don’t like the over crowded and over priced holiday destinations during this period will end up in office - but nothing related to work.
Support as in sre? Or devops team?
Someone has to be on call. But most people won't really be working.

My org is staffed 24/7/365. So someone have to work it.
