Have offers for a UX Designer position. Both companies are in my top-companies list and teams are great. They both have similar promotion cycles and growth. Looking for feedback on just the compensation aspect, assuming all other factors are equivalent. LinkedIn: Base - 135k, 250k RSU (over 4 years) and 10% annual bonus + joining bonus 10k Twilio: Base -130k, 300k RSU (over 4 years), no annual bonus, no joining bonus Current TC: 180K YOE: 3.5
Seems decent, the base is a bit low but the RSU looks good. Is the company public?
What is a decent base for 3.5 YOE? Both companies are saying that this is the highest for this band and increasing base will be possible only if i had an offer for Sr UX.
Actually, it’s probably fair with your YOE. I was just looking at level.fyi, looks like a L3/L4 comp. If you like the team, you should consider taking it. Which team did you like the most? Edit https://www.levels.fyi/?compare=Google,Facebook&track=Product%20Designer
This is good base for non senior roles. Most ppl here are comparing against Eng salary buy design is generally a little lower.
Aren’t product designers usually paid similarly to software engineers? Given your YOE seems lowball.
Right, it’s typically similar to Product managers / SE salary
LinkedIn goes up to 221K. Twilio goes upto 205K. Pretty good base given the YOE. Linkedin bonus always pays more than 100% unless you are doing not so well (then it’s a performance plan in place for you) No experience with the Twilio team, I like the Linkedin team better 😛
