I know in SF its $150k-ish, but I'm in the Midwest where houses cost $200k. What's appropriate salary mid level $95k?(Columbus Ohio is surprisingly techy) Interviews with JPMC and Nationwide.
Maybe 75k
95k in the Midwest is a better quality if life than 150k in SF.
Hope you r young to move for just a 3 month contract - I assume you will find a permanent job and just want to make a move to change your location ....otherwise it seems a little foolish. But as Steve jobs says...stay young and foolish.
I moved for the girl, not the contract.
I've hired product mgrs in Columbus. I was looking to pay 100-120. Both times ended a little higher (130ish) to get the person I wanted.
Sorry. Didn't finish my thought. Ux designers would be a little lower -- maybe 100k. However they can make serious money as consultants.
As independent consultants or at certain firms? Would you provide specifics on what you mean by consulting? Thanks
Hahahahah....... yeah I guess "surprisingly techy" is accurate.... In Cols. mid level 95k is ok.....for like 5+ yrs experience... 10-15 yrs experience...110k
Update: I took JPMC 112K - Thanks all!
you can probably get more from JPMC, but it's a good offer. Any cash bonus?
It's 3month contract to hire so I'm flying blind.
