Recently moved to SF. I'm a product designer looking for a job (3 YOE). However, due to a family medical emergency, I will be out of town for 2-3 weeks and am frantic since it sounds like hiring will be pretty dead when Q4 rolls around and I won't be around in person for part of it. Thoughts / advice? Thanks!
At mid-large size companies, hiring will be dead from Week of Thanksgiving till the new year. At smaller companies, they may still be actively hiring during that time, especially if they're growing.

You mean when people take off during christmas and new years? Offices can be pretty quiet since many folks are out
Q4 being October to December. I understand Christmas/New Year's will be pretty dead but how about the weeks leading up to that? Is hiring already pretty dead in October? (Relatively early in my career so I'm not sure what hiring timelines are like)
Things can move pretty quickly at non Faang companies. However at large companies like google which can take months, so expect for it to roll over to Q1
