I have been scheduled for a coding interview with an Uber SDE. The interviewer seems to have CS background and no skills common with me. Is it better to cancel the interview and save the attempt for another time?
Think this way: A person can ask you questions about your knowledge. It is not always necessary to have depth, and for the task of interview breadth will be sufficient. Moreover, interview will be easy if you drive conversation to your skillset. “Err on the side of action over inaction”-Someone_famous
lol ppl got mad when I said on a previous post there would be an algo/DS phase for data scientist at ATG
Alright, so I went back and checked the relevant job description. The skills require skills as a full stack data scientist and excellent software development skills. And it looks like they are pretty serious with stuff.
What was your interview like?
Go to careercup - there’s realtime Uber technical interview questions there. Also for other tech companies.
Having Leetcode skills should be the norm for DS, but the bar has really been lowered the past few years.

What I don’t think your interviewer will matter, I also have an interview with that team
My interview is supposed to be on SQL and Python. Are you sure there is no mismatch of skills to be tested
How was your interview, OP? Would Uber LC questions suffice for this?
