Planning to join Uber ATG in Pittsburgh. Can anyone working there comment on food and culture? Thanks!
Restaurants worth checking out: Gaucho Everyday Noodles Burgatory Wings over Pittsburgh Noodlehead Madmex Mercurios Smallman Galley Ones up on Mt. Washington There are some really good coffee shops too that made Food and Wines list of best in America Primanti Bro’s sucks
Echo all of those. Gaucho can have long lines but it’s worth it (and BYOB). I’d say Burghers probably better than Burgatory though :) Bar Marco is nearby the Uber offices too. And all the lawenceville guys - Poulet Bleu is a standout. Can’t go wring in general with any of the Deshantz restaurants (two new places opened since I’ve moved but Butcher And Meat & Potatoes are stalwarts, Tako can be excellent). Pizza Taglio in east liberty for BYOB pizza. Tony is awesome. For living, traffic can be bad in Pittsburgh. Old roads and stuff. Not sure about Austin but it’s similar (on a smaller scale) to Bay Area depending on the commute path. For strip, depending on what type of looking for, try Lawrenceville, possibly Sahdysode or Squirrel Hill but those can be slow commutes to that area. Fox Chapel and Cranberry are two good suburb options. I lived in Cranberry (previously our west and our East) and loved it. Nice homes, lower taxes, and still convenient with the best (newest) road systems.

Are you in/from Pittsburgh? I don’t know about food at Uber per se, but just relocated from Pittsburgh after 10 years and can recommend many places in the area especially near the Uber offices.
Sure! I’m planning to move to Pittsburgh for job in Uber
Can I ask where you are moving from ?
