Uber On-Site think I’ll hear back today?
I think I had a really positive on-site on Wednesday even had the hiring manager go out of his way to walk me around and introduce me to business partners...good vibes from recruiting too. Does Uber move fast on offers though or should I just expect to hopefully hear something next week if it really is as positive as I hope?
I was I the same scenario as you. Took them a month to get me the verbal offer. The original team I interviewed wasn’t a match despite the HM being really nice in the interview. So the recruiter had to go into team matching again. Also I had a competing offer but still took Uber a month.
very fast, usually debrief and decision is a day after your interview. we don't have to wait to "compare candidates" because hiring is always open
Yep I got it! Actually maybe would have heard yesterday since my on-site was Wednesday but I had to a video chat yesterday AM since one of my interviewers was in NYC on short notice! Really appreciate the move fast culture seeps through everywhere in the .org ;)
It depends on your timline, do you already have offers?, do you have to make a decision soon?.. Depends on stuff like this. I got my decision in 1 business day as I had quite a few competing offers.
I did tell them I had an on-site with FANG and am actively interviewing so I think they get it. Honestly after meeting them though I’d chose them over the others really impressed with the Uber team I’d be working with and they seem like good mentors.
