My recruiter is delaying in scheduling my onsite interview. I understand Uber IPO didn’t go as expected. Does this mean any slow down in hiring? Any thoughts? Is this not a good time to interview? I believe Uber is doing great on some areas and would still need to hire.
I had an on-site a week and a half ago. Just heard back they are going another direction. If they are being honest and truly have other candidates then it sounds like there isn’t a freeze.
Probably a freeze.
I heard same from Uber that they r heading in different direction
AFAIK no freeze
I accepted an offer last Monday and they’re in constant communication about the relocation so I’m assuming all is well. Could be your team.
Recruiter is probably crying and forgot
Did you get your onsite scheduled? Which org are you interviewing for?
I went to onsite and did well. It is a niche area. But still didn’t make it to the offer. They told to apply for other roles. Lost interest now on Uber. Sometimes I feel they are expecting too much despite I have good background and portfolio of projects

Google CFO confirms "large-scale" layoffs today (Apr 17)
Wonder if there's a freeze or something. Recruiter had originally mentioned he would get back within 3 days of my onsite interview regardless of whether they were going to extend an offer or not. Now it's been more than 2 weeks and haven't received a yes or no after multiple follow-ups. Given I solved all questions and follow ups, I am not inclined towards directly assuming it's a reject.
