I took paternity for 8 weeks and can take up to 17weeks if I say I am primary care giver

Paternity is 6 weeks, maternity is 17. Not as generous as Microsoft, but still all right.
This is not true. It's "primary" or "secondary" and either mother or father can take either (so you should always say you're primary and get 17 weeks)
If you have to lie to get it, you don't belong here. FFS, there's an unlimited vacation leave policy.
