Recruiters were telling interviewees and potential recruits that the company would IPO at 100B. This sounds like fraud. If I worked there on this premise I’d sue. You guys should talk to a class action lawyer.

    How is that lawsuit material?
You’re joining a private company. Whatever happens to paper money it’s at your own risk. I mean, even at publicly traded companies, nobody sues if a company was valued 1 trillion when you got your initial grant, and 2-3 months later it’s valued 700 billions or less.

Where’s your opinion coming from? Empathy, a close friend or family members works at Uber, or bought Uber stock?? Either way, my friend, be water and chill.

I feel folks hired in late 2015 and 2016 onwards were given false information. In 2016 recruiter told me they will be valued at 200+ billion in next 2 years.

What? So after a recruiter, who would know nothing about that in reality, sells you on 100 or 200b, which is an INSANE valuation, you didn't do any work on your own to verify? You took them at face value for those comments and then want to complain now that it was obviously rediciulous? YOU CHOSE TO JOIN, IPO PRICE IS NEVER A GUARANTEE.

PLEASE, EVERYONE, GET BACK TO WORK AND LETS MOVE THE PIECE WHERE QE WANT IT TO BE INSTEAD OF COMPLAINING...

The price is what it is, complaining won't change tha? but hard work can. So...what so you pick.

    What's wrong in prediction future?

The same recruiter says, join us and you will be promoted in next 1 yr but as always, it's based on performance.

Company dint performed well. Nothing wrong in that.

Yes, and all the people who have been sending money to Nigeria to claim their inheritance should also sue

Let us know how that goes

If people understand how the stock market or IPOs work then they shouldn't be surprised

So there’s no section on Leetcode about evaluating a business? And you ate up whatever crap they promised?
The problem isn’t Uber or recruiters! It’s gullible people who are blinded by TC, TC, TC....

Interviewees hear what they want to hear. Uber likely shows “what-if” scenarios to applicants.

How come this is fraud? No one can guarantee stock price. It is fraud only if the recruiter intentionally gave incorrect info, but that is definitely not the case.
