Uber hiring decision

Just had an on-site at Uber today. I think the system design rounds went quite well, even the debugging/laptop coding round went well but had some hiccups in the algorithm round which I believe was a leetcode hard but came up with the code for it in the last 5 minutes of the interview (although it wasn’t perfect and could have been more efficient). What happens after the on site interview at Uber? Is there a hiring committee like google & linkedin to decide the fate of the candidate?

Got it. Do you know if uber also has a concept of a bar raiser like amazon?

Amazon Urchin Jun 27, 2018

Why fucking respond when you're talking out of your ass? You're no help to anyone.

There is no hiring committee. Most cases hiring decisions are made during debriefing which usually happen the next biz day.

This. Source: i interview all the time

Ah okay! And can the HM or the bar raiser veto the decision?

Tesla LEETCODER Jun 26, 2018

How long does it take to know the decision? For phone and onsite?

Oracle Oh well! Jun 27, 2018

Depends on the team and when they get to debrief, but mostly a week-10 days max

For phone, it should be within a day. For on-site it depends on availability of all interviewers to meet. Usually within a week.

How did you prepare for system design interviews? Btw, good luck. 👍🏼

What were the different types of interviews if you don’t mind me asking ?

Uber l10 Jun 27, 2018

Coding*2, architecture/system design, bar raiser, hiring manager.

Thanks, OP said something about a debugging exercise, presume that’s part of the coding interview and not a stand alone “stripe-esque” debugging interview. What’s the bar raiser interview like ?
