Super excited about this! We’ve got a lot of tech talent, but this will really put us on the map as a place for top tier tech companies to consider. https://www.dallasnews.com/business/technology/2019/08/09/ubers-new-office-dallas-could-gain-3000-new-jobs-become-companys-biggest-hub-outside-san-francisco
It doesn’t say “tech” hub though
Looks like it will include engineers though: “Uber's office would include engineers, finance executives, salespeople and other roles across its business.”
I bet those plans change
I’ve been considering investing in real estate in DFW, and if Uber and other companies start bringing more jobs there I might just follow through with it.
My fiancee is from Dallas. She left after putting up with the mainstream superficial and shallow culture of the people.
Uber is on a hiring freeze..
Please stop calling remote offices "HQ"
Fair, although you guys started it with HQ2. Also, what do you call it when it’s an office with engineer positions? Unlike Google and FB and all the other tech companies with offices here that are focused more on non-SWE roles.
