Base Salary: $143k
Equity (# shares): 7074 @ $40.38 => $290k
Target Cash Bonus: $13.5 k
Target Equity Refresh: $52 k
Sign-on: $25,000

Yoe: 2

How is this offer ? This is the one I got after saying I have a competing offer.

Recruiter keeps saying that compensation is tied to the level and can’t be changed. Any room for negotiation?

      Guys, don’t be too jealous. I have a friend who got a $1m for 2 yrs exp.

      So, stop judging someone with yoe and I believe it boils to how worthy you are to the company.

    That $40 valuation is inflated and generally given at 1.5x value. It’s a very strange (and legal) tactic that Uber uses. Ask your recruiter to clarify the actual current valuation. I did and my TC dropped substantially.

    If you want more comp, get a competing offer from a company that pays similarly. Otherwise, you have no leg to stand on in your negotiation.

    147k base, ~7,800 shares = 320k, 25k sign on

    I also had competing offers, which is how I got the sign on added.
