This may be only my experience but: I applied for a position at Uber back in July. Got an email from recruiter shortly after to setup a phone screen. Between then and now: Applied to Amazon, went through entire hiring process, got an offer, tried to negotiate, rejected their final offer. Applied to Lyft, went through the entire hiring process, got rejected by them Applied to a startup, went through the entire hiring process, rejected their offer Applied to Google, went through the entire hiring process, made it to the SVP stage and expecting an offer soon. Meanwhile, finally got a phone screen with Uber for next week 😂😂 Hopefully things move faster after the phone screen (if I do well) p.s. I constantly emailed the recruiter for follow up, even re-applied for the same position and got the same recruiter. Her excuse was they are very busy! But this is beyond busy!!
How did you get rejected by lyft?
Told the story on Blind before: Applied for an embedded position, had a non-tech phone screen followed by full day onsite. Onsite was successful and recruiter said they will make an offer. Then they realized they hadn’t properly phone screened me (even though on-site was a success). A new grad App developer called me for phone screen and had me implement a game. I struggled. Next day recruiter said they will not continue!! I guess app developing skills over the phone was more important than a successful onsite interview 😂😂
Wtf. I feel so sorry for you/
A recruiter who is too busy to recruit - wow!
May i know how long it took to hear back after google onsite.. its been almost 2 weeks i gave onsite but haven’t heard anything yet..
My uber interview experience was right opposite to yours. Recruiter moved very quick after every stage in the process. Every next step happened either on the same day or next. Added to that they were very polite(both recruiters and interviewers)
I just had a similar experience. Uber scheduled a phone screen after emailing me then never called at the time scheduled.
The Uber recruiter was probably busy looking for a job himself
I'm going through the same thing with Uber. Initial contact made in July, had my panel, and final, was told they would followup this past Tuesday and nothing. It's deflating especially when you are willing to look past all the mess they are in and still want to work for them. 🙃
Why do you want to work there?
Can I DM you for somw Interview related questions
