Unable to get job offer

I am an ETL developer and used ETL tools most of the time for building data pipelines and have solid sql experience. We recently moved to bay area from LA and have been looking for data engineer opportunities. Attended several calls with different companies and most of the time companies are mainly looking for python which i am practicing on leetcode code but given that I don’t use it on day to day basis i am unable to solve problems in the time limit even though i can do it.
Able to clear Facebook but only to know they have headcount issue later, failed in google, LinkedIn and lot of other companies(more than 15) tech screen itself during programming round.

Right now i am devastated and hopeless. What can I do to get out of this situation. How can I improve my programming skills and get a data engineer position.

Never give up. Most of us got our jobs after several failures. The key is practice and try again.

Tc = broke. Education: the Derek Zoolander school for kids who can’t read and want to do other stuff good too
Keep trucking man. Leet code , practice, clean up the resume. I’m right there with you . You just need one yes in a sea of no’s. This town is a shark pit full of entitled , pretentious racist fucks who don’t care about fairness and integrity and you have to swim through it. I will take a referral at intel though, I bet your tc is higher than mine.

If you can pass Facebook it’s probably a numbers game. Ramp that 15 up to 50

Thank you for your suggestions. Partially it could be me as well as i am unable to study 100% with a baby. I think I should prepare so well to survive bay area competition before trying again

It's hard with a baby I completely get that. I interviewed when I was pregnant 2 weeks before the dua date, and joined when my baby was 4 months old. Heavy oncall (getting paged at 2am) plus sleep deprivation because of the infant (waking up every 3 hours to nurse at night) almost killed me and couldn't prepare well for interviews. I just kept trying.

Take some intro to data science courses in python. That should help comfortability with it.

They use numpy and pandas heavily which data hiring managers may expect
