For rtp is $57k as a business systems analyst low? If so, what do you think the norm is?

Graduated last May, currently earning the above. Have roughly a year of applicable experience

~80k base + 10% each of stock and bonus for a top fresh Masters graduate in RTP (SWE2)

Keep in mind though, a mortgage payment on a 1500sqft house here is half the RENT you'd pay on a single bedroom in CA

I didn't say 1 YOE. I have a friend making more than that in RTP. Moved from NY for better weather. 10+ yoe.

I almost took a job for $140k in RTP but bailed out after a lack of proper tech space there. Hard to move and only very few companies pay well there.

Nice pay. Honeywell moved there recently. Agree they don’t have more tech jobs.

94k w 2 years relevant experience in CA in similar role. I think you're in the ballpark but only way to know for sure is test the market and get some offers. Be sure to consider work-life balance and cost of living as factors as well.

You are slightly underpaid. Other business analysts I knew got $65k as new grad and I thought that was low

You can definitely hop around with low experience. The problem is you had no leverage as your first job. Now you can use your current job as negotiating leverage for the next company

You will find green pastures once you get 2 years of experience, until then it’s a hell if you have low paying job
