In Seattle working in Amazon as SDE. I know that data science will be a required skill later for my career, so I'm thinking of buying a degree in uw data science masters. Does anyone have any clue about that program other than what is out there online? Is the paper degree worth the money? I can learn everything online easily but I am betting having a solid degree will be a better proof of skills later on. And no, I'm not planning on turning into a data scientists in the short term.
Paper degree doesn’t seem worth to me. I’m working mostly as a data engineer and teaching myself the data science techniques. If you have a math background, take a couple online stats courses from like MIT open courseware and you’re caught up.
Buying a degree, how does that work
