Hi, I'm graduating in May of 2020, and wanted to know until when will hiring continue for new grad SWE 2020 roles? I saw a lot of job postings with this title in August and September, but not really seeing more jobs being posted with this role anymore? Also, just wondering when should I start applying to regular entry-level SWE jobs if I'm graduating next May? And how much TC can I expect if I get into a really good company :) P.S. Just as a side note, I have been practicing Data Structures and Algorithm questions and I'm almost completely prepared for technical interviews. I just interviewed with Amazon for their new Grad 2020 role, and almost cracked the interview, which was not hard, but I got nervous, and I'm sure with more practice, I'd be in really good shape for future interviews. Moreover, I was interning at a pretty decent company in SF this summers who paid me 6k per month and had a lot of cool perks like free food and a bunch of outings. So, I will be most definitely(*fingers crossed*) receiving an offer from them by the end of October to join them and I'm guessing to get a TC of at least 110k, but I am trying to see if I can get into some other company who can probably give a TC of 150k for a new grad like me who has done two software internships, and has worked on some side projects as well like building and deploying a full-stack MERN app. Finally, I want to mention that this is the first time I'm posting here, so kindly excuse me for any stupid questions, or rather point out how I should better frame my questions in the future. Thanks a ton!
How was coding rounds , Leetcode medium or hard? Also design round , was it OO or data structure design ?
Questions were LeetCode Easy / Medium. I used OO to solve one of the problems. I actually screwed up on behavioral questions, I should have answered with their leadership principles in mind. Also, I used some hints while solving technical problems, which weren't hard, but this was my first interview in this hiring cycle, and I was pretty nervous :/
Did you get rejected? Were any of the questions amazon tagged?
Yeah, I got rejected. Not sure if they were tagged
