1) Is this a new trend ? 2) I heard it's their internal website. Can I get a demo chance to get well accustomed with their environment ? 3) Does it have test cases ? 4) Does it allow syntax highlighting for a language ? 5) Does recruiter expect 100% compiling and working solution since I opted for coding on computer ? 6) any other info
It's a minimalist code editor. Can't run code. A missed semi-colon won't hurt but aim for compilable and working code.
So is it like notepad in web without syntax highlighting and not able to compile? Will I be projecting my computer or the interviewer will be seeing in his computer with the same link
There's some basic syntax highlighting / indentation. The interviewer also has a link.
1) Yes, I experienced this myself when I went to my onsite few weeks ago. Got the offer too! FEE 2 position. 2) It's called Amazon Chime. 3) Nope 4) Yes 5) The interviewer didn't ask me to run the code. But of course, try to write a "bug free" solution.
Thanks for answering all questions. Someone else said it's called life code or livecode . What do you meant by FEE 2 ?
Oops! Sorry, yes it's called LiveCode! Amazon Chime is their video conferencing service. FEE2 = Front-End Engineer 2. Newly created job at AMZ. Same pay range as SDE (backend).
Lol wut?
