Any advice on how to transition and get a role at a Venture Capital Firm?
I have seen people doing MBA to break into VC.
DM me. I will give you advice and maybe we can meet in person for dinner or drinks for me to give you more tips.
If you're in IBD, I'd suggest trying to get into TMT and then go from there. It's do-able, but you need to network pretty hard, find others that went the path. Another option is to try and go to PM at a tech company, and then from there. VC is pretty selective, so you've got to have an "edge" in whatever you're trying to do. If you find a sector-specific fund that you have experience in, that can help. Otherwise, pure financial experience is challenging.
