So I had my onsite interview with VMWare, and time they gave me was 12pm - 5pm. Asked me to be there by 11.30, and I need 30 mins ride to reach palo alto. One bad thing which I felt was NO LUNCH, all the way only rounds and nice interviewers asking for "do you want water". About people wanting to know how the interview was. Decent and average grade problems. 5 rounds - 2 system design kind and 3 coding rounds. No managerial round. I think one round I dint complete my solutions, rest all were good.
VMware actually has a good cafeteria ?
Empluloyees pay $5.5 for small salad. Outsiders pay $7 for small salad. The food is overpriced but decent cafeteria.
I think 30 mins would be nice, to have in between. It'll be relaxing also, or maybe start early by 9 or 10 and finish by 2/3. Still can go out and have some may be
That sucks!! If they can't show you that they care the day they interview, the culture prob sucks
Do you get free bananas at least?
Yes on Monday’s. First come first serve.
Take notes Jeff: here’s another way to cut costs at amazon
We have soda, juice, fruit, snacks in the break room. We could have at least given you some nuts to chew. Sorry about that. So any dicks here schedule meetings at during lunch time.
I mean what did you expect for an interview that started at noon?
Who has lunch before 11AM??
but be there by 11.30 and no one has that early lunch right? I was knowing i'll not get anything still felt weird.
