I would like to know the bonus percentage for a lead technical role in Dallas, assuming its 15% of the base salary do you get it in full or it will be taxed?
Depends on your level...what is a lead technical role? If you a band 6 bonus is 20% of base as a target. Could be a little more or less depending on results. Band 7 is 12% target I believe... either way bonus is paid lumped into a normal pay period check and taxed as such.
Thanks for your feedback, I was told by the recruiter that they’re targeting 20% bonus but I’m not sure whether it’s band 6 or 7, which band the manager is in Verizon? I’m guessing based on this he’s in band 5?
If your target is 20% you are band 6. Band 6 is for more senior level ICs as well as Sr Managers. Band 5 is Director and Tech Fellows.
I’m in the Dallas area and it comes out right in time to use on my property taxes after all the taxes and my max 401k deduction. The line of business you are in and their results affects payout more than your personal score for me at least.

What was your base pay increase this year
Getting it in full? 😂 I believe the tax rate for bonuses is 40% across the country.
Look up supplemental tax...no where near 40%
https://www.sapling.com/8787289/did-bonus-check-taxed-40 40% is for the higher tax bracket apparently. So it may be lower
