I am confused with the design of Vitamix, not all the container jars fit on every model. I basically want smoothies, peanut butter and soups. Which is the best value for money model and are there any deals? Seems to be one of the expensive blenders. Also does anyone have information on how long it lasts?

Other than noise levels and pre-programmed settings, they are all about the same. Get the cheapest one you can find that has variable speed and pulse control for value-for-money. Their certified refurbished ones are good deals too. Get a smaller jar if you want to make smaller batches (1 person).
Ascent have 10yr warranty while the older models have 7. I got a2500 because I prefer a dial but wanted the presets. The presets are awesome don't underestimate how convenient they are. The 750 pro was my other choice for the same reason and if it had been on sale I'd have gotten it instead despite the extra 3yrs warranty. 7vs10 not that big a deal but the a2500 was cheaper at the time I bought.
Why do people have to poll the whole world for everything. Just buy any goddamn model that satisfies your needs.
