According to the BOP a full 93.1% of prisons were men as of May 2018.

Why is this, and should it change? Participation in this thread by women is highly encouraged.

    You cannot offer the jail cell to a male until you found a female suitable for another cell.

    Yes. I do think more women get off easily / are charged less harshly than deserved. I do think we should do unconscious bias training (in this case one to help men) for the panel of judges. Totally serious here

      Oh I see. Well the difference is that in one case we are talking about strategy for an actual rebellion involving real things and people and in this case we are talking about strategy to responding to an online troll-post.

      If we are talking in this thread about magically putting more women in prison, then my reply is that we magically destroy all prisons. In that case why magically kill other people for the hell of it? Just harsh.

      If this were a actual revolt and releasing unjustly held prisoners required killing some prison guards, then yeah - nothing magic about that. The moral view of it would depend on which side of the bars someone stood. The slave’s liberation is the master’s social-apocalypse.

    When you see a woman commit a crime, please report it. No one wants to see criminals of any gender roaming the streets. I am with you here. Feminist female. As for the point you were trying to make, I have seen several capable women more qualified and experienced overlooked for meaty projects. Lack of a gender balance in the workplace makes it hostile for existing minorities. Deserving minority candidates are not getting the opportunities they deserve, hence quotas try to enforce it

      I have no problems with deserving candidates, but many people here are reporting being forced to hire non-deserving candidate of certain gender/race.
      As you understand, this is going to increase the failure rate for the projects led by the people belonging to those races/genders.
      Which in turn would create reluctance to assign them to important projects.

      The vocal masses only want populism. They do not want long-term, but not "here and now" diversity projects.
      So, that's exactly what the companies are delivering - diversity theatre to please the feminist crowd.
