New grad SDE with some money accumulated. I'm extremely scared of losing which is why I'm just earning 1.9% by putting my money in a bank account. (Ik that's a bad thing.) WHERE THE FUCK SHOULD I INVEST? I have read up the most famous financial books. Didn't help. I'm in analysis paralysis. I think it'd be best to go for an index fund but idk which one to go for.. All in on red.
or Green 0-00
Yup, all depends on your risk tolerance / how much reward you like. Early on in life you can afford to put large sums on green. Later on you want to start shifting to red or black, probably at an 80/20 rate. Red or black is a personal preference, but I like to look at what they've been doing recently and do the opposite. For instance, if red has really been performing well, a lot of people will buy. I do the opposite. Lots of red means its time has come and black will be on the rise soon. Just be smarter than the other players and you will do fine.
Invest in a roboadvisor like wealthfront
+1, robo advisor will eliminate the analysis paralysis at the start. Once you get more confident with money going up and down, it’s quite easy to replicate Wealthfront portfolio in your broker of choice.
Long term ETF - if you want to passively see your money grow. Try buying top stocks when market crashes and sell when it rebounds if you’re actively looking to manage your returns
Go long on WeWork stock. Offer to bail them out and take them to IPO.
If you have a job and a few thousand in savings, my advice is to go wild. Buy crypto-currency, penny stocks, crazy options strategies, IPOs. Lose it all. It will teach you how things work and this is the cheapest time in your life to learn that lesson. When you make more money, put it in diversified index funds and forget about it for a couple decades.
Why not just spend a couple hundred on lotto tickets/vegas? Same lesson, less expense, more fun?
lol
Invest in a keyboard without a caps lock key.
We shouldn’t be age discriminating. People at that age simply can’t discern between capital and lowercase letters.
What is your goal and investment horizon? Are you saving for retirement, a house, etc? Do you have any debt, if so at what rates? The answer depends on your financial situation and your personal goals.
Bitcoin
Put some money in ETH. Running in negative since quite a while now. Not gonna take a chance on crypto until I have disposable income.
Don't trust any alts now. It's risky. Lost a lot of money because I trusted the alts and ditched bitcoin.
