I've read several posts about how WLB can be rough at FB. Can anyone here comment on the work life balance for the data science team? particularly the product analytics team? thanks

Fuck Chegg, their site was buggy as hell
Doesn't matter if you are DS. The bad wlb doesn't come from role. It's about the expectations and the people around you. Everyone is competitive, so they work hard. Expectations rise and that becomes the norm. People will underestimate the time needed for any task. There is unclear direction and you are also expected to drive that. So a combination of things make wlb bad. But hey, you get paid well and you also get to work with really smart people for the most part.
Ty for insight. At some companies the team and role matter a lot in culture and WLB, so figured I’d ask. Everything you said makes sense though
How did you prepare for it OP?

Not sure if you are needling about Chegg, but if not, chegg is great and have no complaints about working here. Just always have to be open to opportunities at the major companies. Thanks for the input
