It's art and cheaper than a lamp. In terms of furniture this is very inexpensive. It's not claiming to be a budget stand.

Always interesting how much psychology messes with logic. People will spend 5 to 10k on a couch or refrigerator without thinking about it but pause when it comes to a computer. The couch doesnt even get wifi.

What amazes me is how very different approaches can lead to success, when you compare the two A-s in FAANG. Apple is like - just keep increasing the price, they’ll come. Amazon is - just keep reducing the price, they’ll come. Apple is, here is our minimalist offering - take it or GTFO. Amazon is - does such a thing exist? Yeah can prime ship tomorrow. We keep proving them right.

MacPro is without display for 5k bucks. If you go for Apple pro display it costs extra 5k bucks. And it comes without stand!!! The stand costs extra 1000 bucks.
