Can any of you knowledgable souls explain? https://www.theverge.com/2019/1/9/18176044/10g-program-cable-companies-5g-mobile-broadband-internet-ces-2019

10G is what Trump is asking for now. 6G is old news.
(2) 5G antennas bonded for short wave transmission. Just kidding - never heard of 10G
It’s for those times when you need direct connection to satan.
10gigabit ethernet has been around for some time. Has nothing to do with wireless, such as 4g, 4glte or 5ge

I was going to point exactly to this article. The docsis spectrum, with the modulation it jas today can only achieve about 2gbps in the total spectrum (5gbps with you consider the usage of d3.1 in the whole spectrum). If the full duplex docsis initiative goes forward, one coax cable could theoretically transport 10gbps bi-directional.
10G refers to the next bandwidth milestone in wireline internet. 5G refers to roughly the 5th (acknowledged) generation of wireless communications.
It's just broadband trying to make use of the hype that carriers have already created. The funny part to me is that 5G should reach 10Gig speeds theoretically and could have used 10G themselves :/
5g is fifth generation, not named for speed.
Yeah, did you understand what I said?!
