Hi, I have 1 year 3 months of experience out of college in Amazon and just got approved by the hiring committee in Google Fremont (Seattle). Haven’t received a formal offer yet and am talking to my recruiter soon. However, from my research it seems like Google doesn’t really hire SDE 1s as T4. I’m wondering if it is worth switching to Google at this point or if I should first wait for my SDE 2 promo at Amazon (manager says I should be good for Q1 2019). I’m kinda tired of the shitty work life balance at Amazon and would def prefer Google’s ( in addition to perks, etc) Anyone have any advice from similar experiences? Also what should I expect in terms of an offer?

TC?
I’m currently at the standard tc amazon offers to college grads, haven’t received the specifics on the google offer yet
If you get promoted to sde 2 you will be 99.9999% hired as T3 at Google :) so better do it now then to risk the offer itself
Google. You gain 0 leverage waiting for an SDE2 promotion.
@Op how was your interview?
First one was kinda shaky as I hadn’t interviewed in some time, second was better and I’d say my last 3 were very good. I got the solution in all of them but def required lots of hints in the first one and a couple in the later ones
How many problems were in each interview? One or two? Were they all leetcode mediums or were there some hards?

Yeah I know, just wanted to get some feedback
Jesus. What could make the svp make a decision counter to the hiring committee? Do you think you were a borderline applicant?
Google. It's a no brainer.
