    How is TC 54.18?
RSU is 25% of base so It will be 8.75 over 4 years

I am asking you to check again because I know many guys there.. Bonus is fine but Nobody got rsu worth 25% of base every year (it's 25% of base over 4 years and you get refreshers each year that's 25% of base divided by 4) .. In offer letter they add 4 years RSU to annual TC.

As a new hire you will qualify to receive a New Hire award of restricted stock units (RSUs) equivalent to 45 % of your annual gross salary. The New Hire RSU award is generally granted in the quarter following your date of hire. The New Hire RSU award will vest and be paid out as cash over a four-year period in 25% increments beginning in the first year following the year of the grant. The exact vesting dates for awarded RSUs will be specified in the award document provided to you in connection with the grant.

This is what I have seen in friends offer letter.. But he got 45% of base divided by 4 in first year.. So clarify with HR. It clearly says that rsu of 25% of base will vest over 4 years.

@AmandaT, I looked it up on Google, but wasn't sure what the "L" refers to (1K? 10K? 100k?) Even Google didn't get it!

Not bad for level 4.. Looks like your current TC was less and you didn't have competing offers

I have seen base 42L and other components proportional for IN4. They got joining bonus of 10L as well.

Is not base 42 lpa more staff range than senior engineer range. I think senior engineer usually lies between 25-35 lpa. I agree it depends on previous base, other offers and interview performance etc. But I think 42 is more a staff level.

How much is on hire RSU grant ? Joining bonus ? Not sure how is TC 54 lpa. I agree op point that RSU is 25% of base salary each year. Still it doesn't make TC 54 lpa. For first three years you will only have 25% of base/4 , 50% of base/4 and 75% of base/4. It's only at fourth year, your TC will be what mentioned above, ofcourse more than that because of hikes etc. Also in this assumption is that refreshers are indeed 25% of base. Else TC will be lesser than this. Clarify with HR on these. This looks really confusing.

Ok, so this is pretty good in this climate with almost everyone and their dog taking the R word.

Do you have competing offers ? Is not 20% hike in their current hiring spree looks less ? You can negotiate more on this.

Make sure you are aware of team, engineering culture, work quality. Looking at glassdoor reviews, things are not looking good from engineering side in Walmart. Do go through them and check with folks working there.
