Offer for one of the ecommerce teams. Position- software engineer III. Base 140k, rsu- 20k/4 years, bonus-16%. Yoe 3 years after masters, 3 years after undergrad, total 6 years. Location- bay area I feel I am being lowballed. What do you think? Also, is the work culture as bad as everyone says it is?
Atg commerce product ?
Those RSUs are really low. Seriously, fuck Walmart
Yep, push for more. Tell you have better offer from a competitor
Hi, Question for you specifically- is labs way better than ecommerce?
Nope, total mess. It's adult daycare.
Is that 20k rsu per year or 20k over 4 years?
20k over 4 years, each year you get a new 20k award.
20k over 4 years and my current company pays 25k per year! I dont even know what they were thinking!
Lol..I guess they mixed up the offer for a cashier
It should be 20K per year. That is a standard for SW3. Also looks like your interviews did not go well because normally we offer SW3 for fresh Masters. Push for initial Grant and sign on.
I joined recently Walmart as staff engineer. TC 270k. I still feel it’s low ball. Very few teams doing good work. Luckily I got good team. Still I don’t know about many other teams
It is what they can get you from Walmart policies perspective, but it's a low ball.
What is the TC for a Director or VP?
New grads will get better pay!
This is an entry level compensation and op might have missed 20K grants every year. SW3 is our entry level position for fresh grads with Masters. It is open for discussion if TC of 167K+ per year fresh out of school is fair or not.
The offers are standard here. There is a range for base and leeway for sign-on negotiation. But everything else is standard. Don’t feel offended about the offer.
Lol, dude! It’s a crappy offer! What do u mean by don’t get offended??
This is a new grad compensation
Big time low ball
