Hey guys, how does walmart stock vest work? Lets say you have 60k initial grant, its 25% a year. So only $15k the 1st year. The question is, on the 2nd year, do you get another 60k grant that vest over 4 years, which brings stock to $30k, or no? HR has trouble explaining. Thanks for the help
Refreshers are neither guaranteed nor decided upfront. You should assume only 15k per year and not to fall for recruiter speech.
Six pack, may be it could be true in Juniper. But you don’t know much details Walmartlabs compensation. People get Refreshers every year in Walmart unless rating goes to partially meet expectations.
I am very well aware of Walmart initial and refresher grant. It is standard 60k over 4 years for most of folks. Recruiters try to mislead by depicting false max tc by including 60k per year which is not true until 4th year anniversary. For first year, OP should assume just 15k per year.
So are there refreshers or not? This is unclear
What part is unclear? You get 60k every year that vests over next 4 years. That is your refresher and it’s guaranteed. Btw, for meets its 60k. For exceeds more and much more for the top rating.
Got 15% refresher bump for exceeds last yr
It is refreshers. You'll get 60k worth of stocks granted to you every year. I can confirm
Thanks man, whats the relocation package like? Does it include full service move?
Yes it does and based on the position, there will be different tiers of relo package which I believe is non-negotiable but pretty generous
I can confirm we have annual refreshers unless rating goes down
Do they give relo if you are moving from South Bay to San Bruno ?
You are at a company with great culture. Please don't move
I absolutely love LinkedIn but I’m stuck in my position with absolutely no room to move laterally or vertically. Pivoting to product for ads from HR Tech.
I think you get 60k in stock after 4 years, at the value of the stock when you got hired, so the stocks are already numbered. Every year you get $15k until it sums up to your 60k. In reality, the stock value increases, so you're actually getting more than that, depending on the value of the stocks that you vested so far. Walmart stock has been going strong every year so you'll be getting more than that. Also, sweet sweet dividends.
Wrong
This is incorrect. It’s a 60k RSU grant every year that vests over 4 years. You don’t get dividends unless you hold the stock after it vests.
You are relo eligible if it's over 50 miles( house or work- whichever is closer) It's one of the best relocation package out there. Rsu will be 15+30+45+60 for first 4 yr. Then 60 every year after.

Is it cheaper to eat chipotle everyday than buy groceries ?
Yes your understanding is correct. If you continue being granted 60k stocks annually (that number will increase of course over time), you will vest 15k, 30k, 45k and so on every year.
