Which one is better in terms of pay, culture and product management function in general? Considering a senior pm offer from both seriously. I've not read great things about the culture at Walmart and thought I'd ask. Also Walmart titles might be inflated?
Did my internship at Walmart labs in Bentonville culture was fine overall. There are lots of smart people and lots of not so smart people. Pay is competitive for the area
I work at Walmart Labs, so I could be biased. But here are some of the positives that I see for Walmart Labs. Huge focus on ecommerce since Marc Lore came on board. Incredibly fast paced culture and working on problems at great scale. Great energy where the motto is no longer to win in ecommerce by copying Amazon, but by leveraging our own key strengths that make us different, especially considering our massive store presence. I have been at Walmart for many years now. I have enjoyed the people I work with and that has been a driving factor for me continuing to be at this company. Having said that, the culture changes quite a bit from group to group. If you can tell me more about the exact group you are joining, I can give you further insights.
Thanks veteran12. That helps. Marc lore coming on board is certainly key to the opportunity. I'm guessing it changes based on role too. I'd like to hear more about the pm function at the company.
Lol fast paced culture my ass. This post reads like a recruiter wrote it
Neither
I’ve known a lot of happy Walmart tech people. They all love it. Weird
Walmart has some interesting problems to solve at a scale you may never see at intuit. Not perfect but was a good place to work.
Walmart. Intuit is at a downfall.
Any specific reason behind this? Intuit’s stocks seem to be fine and growing
Thanks cartman. You're saying that being at Intuit? Interested in knowing specifically why you think intuit is a downfall.
Yep! Walmart for sure.
Really? You're saying that being at Intuit? I hear the customer focus is great at Intuit. Interested in knowing specifically why you think Walmart is better.
If the role is in product management do to intuit. If engineering choose Walmart.
Don't go to Walmart unless the position is at least "shift manager" or higher. Otherwise you might end up running the checkout lines under some bozo who wants to screw you over.
Oh it's for a senior product management position
He’s joking bro...
Intuit for sure
