My director (design department) supports it (we've been looking for a programmer for over a year, but no result cuz the position requires some niche knowledge) . However the engineering lead thinks I didn't do well enough during whiteboard session to be a full-on programmer. It was 6 months ago and I didn't even know LC exsisted at the time.😞 Since then I've been grinding and feeling more confident. My director asked me to list some problems I'll be able to solve once I transfer to the engineering team to help convincing the engineering side. I'm thinking to also let engineering lead know that I'm ready for another whiteboard session/programming assignment if needed, but then there's the risk of failing.....
