Thinking about buying a property in downtown LA in a neighborhood that's being "revitalized". I figured that when the housing values increase three or four times in 10 years, I'm going to make a big chunk of money Thoughts?
Buy a REIT instead
It really depends on the numbers man. Share the deal and I can tell more.
Re-read what you wrote: values increased 3 or.4 times in 10 years. That is a textbook definition of a market top. Investing now is probably not the right play. Just know that any investment, especially real estate does not go up forever. Every market has a cycle. We are overdue for a correction.
People have lived and died in New York City waiting for that “overdue correction”
The crash will go into history books.
How come you think that bad? I do agree housing is kinda frothy again... What will be the catalyst though? The economy is kinda strong, the fed printed a ton of money, rates are megalow so many people have financed at low rates
