Slavery was common globally until the US/British created democratic capitalism that provides enough middle class wealth to be able to have morality. It’s still common where democratic capitalism doesn’t exist.

FDR was a socialist at best. What’s your point?

No one ever did Slavery on as large a scale nor as cruelly as the US/British. Caging, lashing, raping, murder, breeding, selling children.

The proof of this is visible today in DNA. Even in other countries that participated in the Atlantic slave trade, those enslaved were freed sooner and fully integrated. No interracial marrying laws, no Jim Crow, no KKK, no legalized slavery through intentional incarceration. The result? Huge mulatto populations all across South America and the Carribean. And they’re referred to as such, not referring to light-skinned people as Black like the U.S. does (Obama, Beyoncé, etc)

To say slavery was common globally is a flat out lie. It’s a flat out lie to say it’s common today. The biggest slavers were European governments.

Name a society before 1700 that didn’t have slavery? And everyone had always raped and pillaged up until the last 300 years - your primary means of enrichment was to take from other societies. Up until 10,000 years ago, you had about a 25% chance of being murdered in your lifetime. After democratic capitalism, people realized trade was a much better way to make your life better. That’s why living standards increased 2x the preceding 1000 years before 1700 and have increased 100x since.

Also, I have no doubts that globalization led to an increased amount and brutality of slavery from 1620-1865. But it was still common in every society before that, and the logic/morality was the same.

Non-European societies had more of indentured servitude than slavery. You were sold or captured and worked for X amount of years and then you did whatever you wanted after that. You were not caged, chained, lashed, raped, nor randomly murdered. You were still considered human and your children were free people.

To call it by the same noun as what Europeans did is misleading.

And yet... it still was no where near on the scale as the forced slavery, rape, and murder that Britain/U.S. did.

Mmm, nothing in the article indicates your conclusions. Made it up?

Again nothing offensive as you suggest. You seem to interpret it the negative way.

Again, read one more time, more carefully and pay attention this time. And really think about what is actually said

That's the unfortunate thing about new liberalism. Instead of improving their own standing through excellence and achievement they seek to belittle and tear down others.

This is what happens when you have long periods of peace where women feel protected and empowered, and somehow think they don’t need men. I don’t think women in Syria are saying those things.

Women needs men as much as men needs women. It is silly to think that one is better than the other. But since history has thought is that women are inferior, it makes sense they start making their voice and role heard.
