Did you just assume my manager's gender?

Statistically, he (ha!) is going to be 99% accurate in the assumption.

It speaks to the resource themselves and the level of insignificance they have in the organization.

My managers have always known my name... and have been upset by my moving on.

      Reactions I've had:
"Damn you, I don't know what to do."

"I knew we couldn't keep you. You could earn a lot more somewhere else."

"I saw this coming..." followed by a discussion of how shitty the leadership at the company is - and a request for me to be a reference for my manager.
