Frequently, when using the bathroom at work, I witness a coworker at one of the sinks cup his hands to catch soapy water, slurp it into his mouth, and then rinse with it. What is the purpose of this habit? It seems very unsanitary given the environment this ritual is performed in, generic hand soap contains many chemicals that irritate the mouth, and it obviously must taste horrible. This definitely isn't a Wayfair-specific thing -- I've witnessed it at several different companies. However, almost everyone who I've encountered performing this ritual is Indian. Please explain.
Perhaps soap isn't much different from Listerine.
I've seen it, too. It seems to be an Indian thing but I've never seen anyone do it with soapy water.
Washing mouth with soap?! Even after they clearly state "for external use only" Lol
Perhaps it's a craving one gets after kissing the manager's ass all day every day.
I am dying đ¤Ł
This...is probably literally the reason why...
I do this sometimes. But not with soapy water. It's to clean my mouth after I have my meal. I don't want to wait until 9pm to brush my teeth to get rid of the food particles in my mouth. It feels cleaner after swishing
Yeah I used to see this at Tesla too. They would make so much damn noise swishing the water around in their mouths
