Who works during the weekends? Or works 50 plus hours and is FT. Want to know why you're in the industry Lol. Have a good weekend folks! Although we don't have the stocks at least we get to spend time with our friends and family!
I work in tech and get 12 weeks paid time off a year. Currently on my monthly week long vacation right now.
TC?
Are you new to industry?
12 weeks paid off geez that’s wild 😜 you started with Alexander Bell in late 1898 or what haha
I'm in my late 20s, so no. I just know how to negotiate. Haven't had less than 8 weeks PTO/yr and unlimited WFH since 2012.
What location? And more importantly which company? How do I move there? 😬 I have a little over 3 weeks + 6 national holidays= total about 4 weeks. WFH is acceptable in our office though
I ended up here coz I was lazy. But yea, the work culture is laid back.
Work from home have 5hr on in the morning take 5hr off then 3hr late night check if Overtime is available at 2x hourly it’s a 6 figure and spend time w the kids and wife when you are Home Based Agent HBA
If you’re in the install side at Dish and salary, expect 60+ hours a week and zero compensation for OT. I left and went to Automotive, I’m salary exempt, but still get Straight Pay after 45 hours. Better insurance as well.
On the other side, I work over 75 hours a week - very much depends on the project your in, and your role.
Software engineers have roughly the same life everywhere
Depends what you are doing and how dedicated - many around me put in some extra time as the goals can be hard to meet.
Are you software engineer?
